The Haunting Of Hill House - This is Susannah's favourite on Netflix. Loosely based on the book of the same name by Shirley Jackson, it follows the lives of 5 siblings who are having to deal and relive past trauma's that are now threatening their current lives. A fantastic ghost story, full of drama and horror but it isn't a gore fest! Love. Love. Love. It's so good!
Unsolved Mysteries - A series that started in the 80's and has been brought back to life as a Netflix exclusive, a different unsolved mystery is investigated and dissected in each episode. Murders, disappearances, UFOs and unexplained phenomena are all spoken about in this series. Something for everyone in this show and super interesting!
Formula 1: Drive To Survive - Even if you are not a formula 1 fan, this is a great show! Covering the previous years Formula 1 action in each season, the show talks to drivers, team bosses and shows some of the racing from that season, it showcases all the drama, excitement and tension that happens across the course of the season. A new season of this documentary series will be showcasing the 2020 racing season and how the COVID pandemic affected the racing and is set to release this month. This isn't a show of racing highlights, this is a real insight into the highs and lows of putting on such a dramatic and intense sport.
One of those typical series where every episode has a cliff hanger. It’s brilliant! The first episode can seem like it’s aimed at teenagers but stick with it and you’ll be binging from episode two! The trailer doesn’t do the show enough justice! Viola Davis gives an outstanding performance as leading role Annalise Keating. Each series has a future timeline and episode by episode you get more pieces added to the puzzle to figure out what happens later on. Don’t want to give too much away but it’s worth a watch and I’m sure you can guess the main plot from the title.
American Horror Story -
Susannah's favourite season is Asylum and Lou’s favourite season is Murder House or Hotel. Fun fact Hotel is loosely based on Stay on Main / Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Lou actually stayed in Stay on Main without knowing the hotel’s history when she road tripped California with some friends! One of the best parts about this series is each series is completely different but uses the same brilliant actors!
Stranger Things is a very unique and Netflix original series with an incredibly talented young cast! It’s a sci-fi series everyone will enjoy!
