Lou’s lamb pittas with hot apricot jam

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! This strange sounding combo is delicious and super easy to make!

Prep Time: Less than 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 5-10 minutes


  • Lamb mince

  • Apricot Jam

  • Pitta Bread

  • Red Onion

  • Peppers (Optional)

  • Garlic (Optional)


  1. Dice the onion and garlic up and add to the pan with the lamb mince. I also used leeks but this is optional.

  2. Season with salt, pepper and parsley

  3. Once the lamb and onions are cooked out them in a bowl ready for serving

  4. Toast the pitta breads

  5. Using the same pan add in the apricot jam. Once it starts to bubble put into a dish or serving bowl

  6. Serve and enjoy!

I like to fill my pitta breads with raw peppers too.
